When a group of brothers encounter a potential business deal that unbeknown to them turns out to be nothing but a scam, one of them is selected to restore not only a possible financial loss but also a damage to their reputation. Brinley didn’t know what he was getting himself into when he agreed to fly to Pakistan….. in an idealistic world he would be visiting and returning as he imagined so, but it wasn’t as simple as that, this trip required true patience and a taste for a new world, one that he would become a part of for at least 3 months. Brinley was about to live, eat and survive in a completely different environment from what he had known all his life. Along with his travel companion ‘Berni’ they would make a life changing agreement in order to return home with a conclusion for the replenishment of his and his brothers money, but this deal wouldn’t be straight forward, neither would it be legal.
It hadn’t occurred to Brinley that he was about to be involved with very dangerous people, people whose country he had pursued because of pride and people who would attempt to stall what should have been a swift deal as well as threaten to prevent this 23 year old’s safe return home to his family. Brinley and his companions were about to embark on one of the biggest Drug importations in the UK, a deal that started off over a £5,000 loan encouraged by his brother Alan would eventually escalate and lead to grave consequences. These consequences would not only damage these brother’s reputation as good honest scrap metal merchants but also result in a total of 35 years imprisonment for Brinley and his co-accused in which Brinley’s dangerous encounters would continue in a dog eat dog world.
Ending up on ‘C Wing’ with one of Ganglands Legend’s ‘Reg Kray’ was not something Brinley imagined he’d be doing when he embarked on this encounter, instead he should have been travelling to California to train to compete in the next ‘Mr Universe’ Bodybuilding competition, but this situation had prevented him from his goal as well as terminating this aspiration altogether. Instead, Brinley was now competing against a substantial amount of top criminals, from I.R.A Terrorists to Gangland Legends who dominated Longlartin Security Prison where he was incarcerated for four and a half years, and this location would also become a meeting point where he would befriend one of the most notorious twins in Britain. This book takes you on a journey like no other, one which had no clear outcome from the beginning and one which would reveal betrayal amongst five close brothers along the way. It was inevitable that Brinley would be chosen to repair any damage that would be caused by an outsider on his family because he had always been the protector, but he was ignorant to his brother’s ulterior motives, motives that would question why he was observed for 18 months by Customs and Excise when fundamentally this operation had been precise and low key, thus signifying a potential disloyalty among his own blood. Brinley and his co-accused would only be seized as a result of informers, but little did he know these informers were his own family, a family that he would eventually withdraw from if it meant keeping his sanity and freedom because dealing with them would mean returning to confinement and this time he wouldn’t be released.
